Background of NEWSUK

NoyaBondor High School was established in 1975. Since establishment, that school went through very many difficulties mostly financial due to power politics and mismanagement and incompetence. People of our area started to withdraw support as a result. Noyabondor school faced a very tough time in 1996. Several noble people came forward to keep the school running. However, they found the school in serious need of funds. Teachers’ salaries had remained unpaid for years. As a result they were unhappy and reluctant to attend classes. In short the school was about to close down due to lack of funding.

However the managing committee of that time remained firm and tried hard to ease the financial tensions. The great thing they did was they approached some emigrants (probashy) from London. Their appeal inspired those probashis to come forward to save the school from closure. The result was the formation of NEWS UK in Sept 1996. We raised sufficient funds to eliminate all the financial problems and we thus rescued Noyabondor school from imminent closure. From that year we have been supporting Noyabondor High school. ১। দয়া করে আপনার বছরের অনুদান ১০০ পা: ডিসেম্বরের ১৫ তারিখের মধ্যে চেকের মাধ্যমে অথবা সরাসরি নিউজের একাউন্টে জমা করে রিসিট পাঠিয়ে দেওয়ার অনুরোধ রইলো।

২। ম্যাগাজিনে সকল সদস্যের নাম ও পরিচয় ফটোসহ প্রকাশ করা হবে। তাই সব সদস্যকে ফটো দিবার জন্য এবং কোনও মন্তব্য অথবা প্রবন্ধ লিখার ইচ্ছা থাকলে পাঠাবার জন্য অনুরোধ রইলো।

৩। শিক্ষার উন্নয়নের সাথে সাথে সমাজকল্যাণমূলক কর্মসূচী হাতে নেওয়ার প্রস্তাব অনেকে করেছেন। তাই আপনার মতামত জানালে খুশী হবো।

৪। আপনার জানা মতে আমাদের এলাকার কোন প্রবাসী নিউজ ইউকেতে যোগদান না করিয়া থাকিলে উনাকে মেম্বার করার চেষ্টা করিলে বড়ই খুশী হব।
